Soil: yellow sandy-clay soils that enhance the freshness and aromas of the wine
Story: The estate consists of 70 hectares of organically and biodynamically farmed vines. Maria commenced Pietramore with her partner Massimiliano in 2011. The vineyards are nestled in a gorgeous area between the Maiella mountains and the Adriatic Sea. The result is a unique microclimate very diverse soil. Maria works with indigenous varieties but adds personality to the wines through her creative side. Harvest is by hand, yields are kept low. This wine was pressed after macerating on the skins for 8-12 hours. Fermentation of free run juice in stainless steel at cool temps and left on the lees for 3 months before bottling,
Personality: Straw yellow with golden highlights, intense and persistent on the nose with accentuated mineral notes, yellow flowers and orange blossom. Ripe yellow fruit, yellow peach and white melon. Acid notes embrace the palette with a fresh and immediate impact, dry, clean and warm. full flavoured, with long persistence and an aftertaste of bitter almond and elegant and re ned nish. a full-bodied wine with excellent structure in its balance and harmony.
Harmony: This would make an exceptional Thanksgiving pairing with all those autumnal aromatics.
