Merlot/Cabernet Franc, 2021

Who says Bordeaux wines have to be pretentious and stuffy. How about fresh and delightful? The Nouvelle Vigne comes from Famille Huber’s brother and sister duo, farming biodynamically since 2000. This young vine blend of 50/50 merlot and cab franc slaps. A beautiful balance of blackcurrant and green pepper from the former combine with plummy red fruit from the latter with light tannins and soft texture.

The Story: Château Peybonhomme-Les-Tours is a pioneering natural Bordeaux estate run by the Hubert family in the village of Cars near Blaye since 1895. Now in its sixth generation, it has been organic and biodynamic since 2000 with a strong focus on maintaining a healthy, vibrant ecosystem that encompasses flora, fauna and animal life.

Personality: A glou glou wine, tangy and fresh. We walk between forest fruits in the mouth, pomegranate, cranberry, white peach and a little spice.

Harmony: Run a bath and pour yourself a glass. You deserve a little self care for whatever stress you might be having these days.
