The Story: Statera Cellars is owned and operated by two friends, Meredith Bell and Luke Wylde. Their mission is to make delicious, honest Chardonnay from the most distinct vineyards in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Statera is the first winery in the valleyy to exclusively make Chardonnay. “We love the grape and want to showcase its potential and diversity in the Pacific Northwest. Our wines are made using natural and traditional winemaking practices, resulting in wines that are compelling and markedly alive.” Here they playfully venture into new territory with their "Remix" series. In Vol. II, the plush character of their traditionally crafted Chardonnay meets the vibrant intrigue of skin-contact Chenin Blanc, both nurtured in neutral French oak for 16 months. This 50/50 blend from the heart of Yamhill-Carlton represents a harmonious collaboration, a remix of classic grapes into a compelling and distinct new melody. It's a testament to Statera's exploration of potential beyond pure Chardonnay.
