A rare wine made with Pinot Gris from the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine appellation in the Loire Valley, the grapes are harvested by hand and 50% of the grapes macerate for 12 days followed by fermentation before aging underground in concrete tanks while the other 50% macerate for one month followed by fermentation and ageing in an egg-shaped 700-liter terracotta container. Clean, bright, a bouquet of pleasure and candied orange on the nose. Dry, lush texture and pure happiness to follow. Organic & Biodynamic.

The Story: The domaine Bonnet Huteau is situated in the center of the Muscadet vineyard, in the Sèvre & Maine appellation, 20km from Nantes and 10km from Clisson—a small attractive city by the river Sèvre Nantaise. This domaine has been producing some Muscadet for more than 150 years and was previously a Medieval house where the little town of La Chapelle Heulin finds its roots. Winemakers Jean-Jacques, Rémi Bonnet, and Vincent Pineau work with their four vineyards- Les Gautronnières (green rocks and amphibolite), Les Laures (granite), Les Clos Moulin Chartrie (orthogneiss), and Le Cru Goulaine (mica schist) with the goal of expresses each soil and the minerality it has to offer. The winery and vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic.
