Giovanna Madonia 'Tenentino' Sangiovese
Forli’ Sangiovese IGT > Emilia-Romagna > Italy, 2022
This beauty of a wine is made by Giovanna Madonia and her daughters. Perhaps a more feminine expression of Sangio - less savory and more floral, from the eastern slopes of the Apennines in Emilia-Romagna, opposite Sangiovese’s traditional home under the Tuscan sun.

Personality: Bright ruby red colour. Flowery aromas of violet, morello cherries and red pulp fruit with hints of aromatic herbs and slight spicy notes. High-acid mineral finish.
Harmony: Break out the Parmigiano-Reggiano!
