Blend: A co-ferment of apples, pears, & Grüner Veltliner
ABV: 8.6%
The Story: Dan Rinke & Kim Hamblin make delicious ciders and wines on their farm in Yamhill-Carleton. Kim painstakingly hand-makes all the art for the labels, while Dan painstakingly makes all the wines with Kim helping out quite a bit. Their approach to farming is one of balance with nature and the natural systems. They have a 50 acre farm with pastures, chickens, apple, quince & pear orchards, hay fields and a bit of woods that are left to the wild. As their orchards come into full maturity, there’s hope to integrate livestock management with sheep & fowl for nutrient, weed & pest management. They currently farm organically, but aren’t certified.
Personality: Dynamic and fun, this is delicious and refreshing juice with fine bubbles and waves of pleasure.
