We love Chenin, and it’s so fabulous to see this Oregon expression of this dynamo variety. It's queer-made wine for the ages.

The Story: Melaney Schmidt and Malia Myers fell in love with winemaking while interning at Illahe Vineyards- so much so that they relocated from Los Angeles up to Oregon’s Willamette Valley/Portland area. They have since relocated to a facility in Cascade Locks right along the mighty Columbia River. The two of them are navigating the queer community in the Pacific Northwest, as well as the wild and weird winemaking enclave along the west coast. They have been involved in numerous collaborations with winemakers in a few different states and even apiarists to use honey in a sparkling wine. Melaney and Malia make intriguing wines with some unexpected blends, and specialize in sparkling wines, producing bubbles four different methods! Above and beyond, they are seeking to showcase the amazing viticulture of the Gorge, their passion and love for craft, as well as each other shining through.

Personality: Notes of nectarine, saltwater taffy, melon and alpine strawberry - absolutely divine white wine.
